Cambridge writer’s novel commands high praise

Added: (Thu Feb 16 2017)

Pressbox (Press Release) - Having worked with medieval art, studied philosophy, played music and taught English language, Cambridge author James Corfe is more than qualified than most to talk about passion.
The former accountancy manager has just published his sensually stunning first novel, The Affairs of the Commander's Wife.
The erotic tour de force has already earned the Mensa member rave reviews from readers.
James told us: “Sexual feelings are of the greatest known to mankind.
“The emotions, desires and implications that arise from it are some of the greatest joys and sorrows known to mankind.
“I love all that there is in this world – our relationships with each other and the consequences.
“I think deeply and I write for real.
“I write it as it is – the love, the joy, the sadness and the humour.”
During a varied career James managed the trading arm of public company before his 30th birthday.
He went on to follow his dreams which led to teaching English to foreign students and running a woodworking workshop, specialising in medieval art forms and sculpture.
As well as writing, James is an accomplished musician and a member of the International Society for Philosophical Enquiry.
Much of his varied life is buried within the gripping storyline which has made The Affairs of the Commander's Wife such a success.
The atmospheric love story, which has been published by PublishNation, between a grieving widower and the commander’s wife is set in James’ home county of Cornwall.
James added: “David Bourne was a high flying London architect, who having lost his wife and little girl in a sudden tragic accident, has spent four years travelling the world trying to forget.
“He has just returned to England to start a new life in Cornwall, where he meets the beautiful Anna Redmond, the commander's wife.
“See it through their eyes and feel it through their minds as it deepens and when the commander enters the arena, expect the unexpected.”
