Northwood celebrates success of franchisees at Annual Awards
Northwood has marked the end of a fantastic year by hosting its Annual Conference and Awards ceremony, honouring the success of the network’s highest performing franchisees.
Helen Elworthy of Northwood Doncaster scooped the award for Highest Performing Network, whilst husband and wife team Steve and Debra Swann of Northwood Stoke on Trent won the title of Highest Performing Single Office, based on turnover produced in the past 12 months.
This year’s prestigious black-tie award ceremony and champagne dinner was held at Jury’s Inn, Hinckley Island. The awards followed a highly successful national conference, with the theme “Together Towards Tomorrow!” that was sponsored by LetAlliance and Northwood Insurance Services.
Northwood MD Phil Gee, who presented the awards together with Belvoir Group MD Eric Walker, said: “Northwood has some phenomenal entrepreneurs in the network, operating very successful businesses, and we are delighted to recognise their achievements at our Annual Awards ceremony. This year there were some incredible results in terms of turnover, acquisitions, regional success, customer service and contributions to the network, making the judging process quite challenging.
“Helen Elworthy and her fantastic team in her offices at Northwood Doncaster, Thorne, Retford and Beverley, produced a superb performance over the past year, and are highly deserving of the title Highest Producing Network. Helen, who was a former employee of Northwood Doncaster, bought the business in 2013 and has completely transformed it, tripling the turnover, and has since acquired three further Northwood offices in Thorne, Retford and Beverley.
“Helen is an energetic, articulate and extremely dynamic entrepreneur, as well as a great ambassador for women in business. She deserves the many congratulations of everyone in the Northwood network, as well as our good wishes for the future.
“Over in Stoke on Trent, Steve and Debra Swann, who opened their business in 2006, have consistently been brilliant franchisees and very high performers. They have a great team of people working for them, and are superb ambassadors for the brand, achieving the highest turnover in the network for a single office, which is testimony to all their hard work and dedication. Although the majority of their business is in lettings, Northwood Stoke on Trent is also one of the highest performing sales offices in the network, which is phenomenal.
“2018 has been an absolutely incredible year for the Northwood network, particularly with the number of acquisitions that have been completed, and we are looking forward to even greater success in 2019.”
