This was a problem Steph had when she made the decision to stop drinking alcohol two years ago – not compromising quality, enjoyment, and experience, just due to opting for low and no alcohol drinks. You can still have a cabinet of delicious, tasty drinks, without it revolving around alcohol.

This is what caused the birth of Undrunk. Carefully sourced drinks, in beautifully designed bottles that would rival any traditional spirit. Perfectly paired mixers, garnish and snacks to accompany, resulting in the perfect night in. A Saturday night at home, camping, a friend’s birthday; alcohol-free doesn’t mean missing out.

Steph found herself in the perfect position to set up the new business. After successfully completing an MBA during lockdown, she realised there was a gap in the market for quality low alcohol drinks. With an eye for detail from her engineering profession, a passion from a personal perspective, and an eagerness for a new direction in the midst of a pandemic, she was ready to go.

Interest in the ‘no-low’ alcohol categories is driven by three key consumer trends according to Beverage Daily. Firstly, drinkers are reducing the amount of alcohol they consume, secondly, they are also looking to swap out alcohol products for dedicated alternatives which is why so many of the big brands are producing no-low alternatives alongside their flagship products. Bacardi predicts a 400% growth for the no-low category over the next four years and are increasing the number and range of their no-low products. Thirdly consumers are seeking non-alcoholic products that have the potential to replace the alcohol occasion such as more sophisticated soft drinks or drinks with a different flavour profiles.
