Alagappa University Distance Education was established in the year 1992. The University was founded by Padma Bhusan Dr. Rm. Alagappa Chettiar has been ranked as 49th among Indian Universities in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) instituted by MHRD.
The courses offered by the university include undergraduate and postgraduate programs in the field of Arts, Science, Education, and Management. The university also gives PG Diploma and authentication courses in DDE mode.
