Report on Gaash Naked Beach Near Tel Aviv, Israel

Pressbox (Press Release) -
During our trip to Israel last spring, we had the chance to to visit one other naked beach along with the Dead Sea. This was Gaash Beach on the shore of the Mediterranean Sea, just north of Tel Aviv. (Ga'ash is technically the right spelling, but online it is spelled with and without the apostrophe.)
The nude beachgets its name from the nearby Kibbutz called Ga'ash. It is often known as an unofficial naked beach for a long time, though I do not know exactly for how long. Additionally, it has a well-recognized reputation as a gay playa. When you search for Gaash Beach online, a few gay sites come up first with a bit of (outdated) information about the nude beach and how to get there.
Jordan had been to this Kibbutz and strand a long time ago. With his memory of the place and our GPS and smartphone maps, we figured we'd manage to locate it well enough. Well, that isn't what happenedinstead we got quite lost!
We were first under the mistaken supposition the beach would be simple to locate once we were in Kibbutz Ga'ash. The issue was, the place had changed quite a bit and particular roads were blocked off due to building. So we stopped and asked for directions several times. Still, we couldn't figure out how to get there. The little bit of advice we could find I was on a naked sailing cruise in the British Virgin Islands 6-7 years was not helping either.
After driving into the next Kibbutz Shefayim and drifting through a shopping center, Jordan noticed a car driving off on a dirt road. On a hunch, he veered off the main road to follow it. We drove along a dirt road which rapidly turned into soft, deep sand. After a few minutes of away-roadinglo and behold, we ended up at a plage parking lot! But would this lead us to the unclothed beach???

We wouldn't know until embarking on the wandering sand path down to the strand / water. My wife has ever been hesitant to go nude on the beach is located beneath towering sand cliffs all along the coastline. From up above this makes for a stunning view of the Mediterranean Sea.

Down at the end of the trail, we came onto the strand where some folks and a family with kids were hanging out in swimsuits. A sign to our left indicated the start of an Unauthorized Swimming Zone with no lifeguard. Other signs warned of cliff landslides. We headed off into the "unauthorized" zone expecting to locate a nudie section.
