Arth Ayurveda's Atreya Ayurvedic Medical College Wins India's Best Ayurveda College & Hospital Award

Pressbox (Press Release) - ARTH Ayurveda Group's Atreya Ayurvedic Medical College, Hospital & Research Centre, at Doddaballapura, Bangalore has been adjudged India's 'Best Medical College & Hospital for Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery'.

The recognition was conferred by Worldwide Achievers, a global analytical company providing ratings, research and analysis services, at its World Education Summit 2018 that concluded recently in New Delhi.

Setting Standards in the Medical Education Field, the Atreya Ayurvedic Medical College, Hospital and Research Centre was established in 2006 by Arth Ayurveda. Today, the Centre provides world class undergraduate and allied education to students aspiring to become successful practitioners in the Ayurvedic field. In January 2018, the new INR 23 Crore 350 bedded Integrated Teaching Hospital, a new wing of the Medical College and Research Centre, was launched. It also has an independent diagnostic unit and functions with the welfare of patients as top priority.

Arth Ayurveda Founder and Medical Director, Atreya Ayurvedic Medical College, Hospital & Research Centre Dr.Prashanth S. Acharya, B.A.M.S, M.S (AYU), Ph.D., F.I.C.A, F.A.G.E, is elated at the recognition conferred on the institution he has incubated.

"The Medical College has turned out a number of high performing students and university toppers. It provides the right platform for students to develop the right attitudes and become self-reliant. The college provides quality education, healthcare and research training. The programs offered at the institution are geared at helping students attain a mature understanding of how their skills and knowledge relate to nature and their social environment so as to help them grow into responsible healers," Dr.Prashanth S. Acharya explained.

Equally excited is Ms. Vanitha Prashanth, Executive Director of Atreya Ayurvedic Medical College, Hospital & Research Centre, who runs the institution with an iron hand.

"The aim of the institution is to help students have a stress-free education and acquire inner peace. Importance is also given to help the students develop necessary life and work skills such as etiquette, communication skills, and personality presentation that will aid them in their career," she explained.

The Medical College and Research Centre, affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS), offers a Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine degree (B.A.M.S), which is recognized by the Central Council of Indian Medicine, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, and the Ministry of Ayush. The course takes 5 and half years to complete, including a year of compulsory internship.

This apart, ARTH Ayurveda and AAMCH & RC continues to partner with recognized institutions and organizations all over the world. The partners include the Association of Ayurvedic Professionals of North America (AAPNA); the International University of yoga and Ayurveda, Inc. Florida USA; the Europe Ayurveda Academy (EAA), Ireland; and the Union Yoga and Ayurveda, Singapore, among others.
