Stirred Up Bow, a multimedia company dedicated to fostering emerging storytellers and amplifying
positive change among the youth, proudly announces the release of "Now I Determine My Title," a
compelling new poem by rising poet and advocate Seedel. Endorsed by
Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, this poem is a profound exploration of self-identity and cultural reflection.
"Now I Determine My Title" is a deeply moving piece that delves into the complexities of growing up as a black girl in a society filled with conflicting expectations and stereotypes.

Seedel’s evocative language and vivid imagery capture the struggle to reclaim one's identity amid external influences
and societal pressures. Through her words, she addresses the intersectionality of identity, race, and
self-perception, ultimately delivering a message of empowerment and self-determination. Seedel uses her poetry not only to reflect her personal journey but also to inspire change and encourage
others to embrace their true selves.

Excerpt from "Now I Determine My Title" by Seedel:
Who are you, who have you become? This thought dances through the in’s and out's of my brain.
As I stare into the mirror, I see a person who has been pulled and twisted.
My inner child interjects “Let me out, I don’t know who you are” she says.
As I’m looking into the mirror, I can’t recognize myself.
Something in me clicks. I need to find myself. Everything that I am, and I do, is a parody of accumulated opinions and trends.

"Juneteenth is a day of reflection and celebration of our history and culture," said Seedel. "Through my poem, I hope to inspire others to embrace their identity and find strength in their unique journey. This poem is a powerful way to honor our heritage and use poetry as a medium to address and uplift our shared experiences, fostering a deeper understanding and
appreciation of our individual and collective identities."
