Chiki, The Space Girl Next Door

In the midst of Gwen Stefani, Fergi, and Avril Lavigne, comes a new pop artist on the map. Her name? Chiki. With her beautiful face, little body, and hot dance moves, you can easily put her in the category of Britney Spears. BUT, this girl is not a manufactured prodigy. She is a self-made, self-developed little lady.
Her look is what gets our attention and this Chiki creates all of her fashion, taking everyday household items like electrical “doo dads” and piping, wires and configures them to make a new look. She succeeds in taking these items and making them sexy and alluring and Chiki becomes a sort of “doll”.
Chiki’s demographic makes her very interesting to music industry professionals. She appeals to youngsters and adults all clammering to her approach to pop music and saying that her music is “addictive”. One thing that comes across is that she is believable and sincere. Her growing fan base and her Myspace “Friends” continue to climb and are very loyal. Although she has a far out look, unique music, there is something very real, very sincere about Chiki and makes her our “Space Girl Next Door.” Her rocket ship is beginning to take off. Ok, I must admit I “friended” Chiki on MySpace. I can’t wait for her album, EclectroSonic Invasion so I can listen to it on my iPod.
