VAL'S TOY ANIMALS RELEASED INTO THE WILD
Artist Val Pendleton has launched her unique Fizzoggs collection of animal portrait giclee limited edition prints.
'Simon' the frog is the latest character to join the fourteen strong collection, which includes 'Lanky', a slightly mournful giraffe, 'Simba', a fearsome lion and 'Cheeky Monkey' who, as Val says herself, is impossible to look at without smiling.
Cute, but not too sugary, Fizzoggs are based on toy animals Val has known and loved and, despite being originally created with children in mind, they are proving extremely popular with all age groups.
Fizzoggs are published by Val Pendleton herself in editions of 350 copies, each signed and numbered by the artist.
Image sizes are approximately 33cms x 38cms (11"x 13") although Lanky is of course a little taller, being a giraffe. They are mounted in antique white mount board to fit a standard ready-made 20" x 16" frame to save on bespoke framing charges.
They are printed on heavy 315 gsm soft-texture watercolour paper and each copy is supplied mounted and cellophane wrapped, and with a certificate guaranteeing its authenticity. Price just £45 each. Postage within the UK is £5, for the rest of the world please inquire.

Val was born in Liverpool in 1956 and showed a passion for painting from an early age. She studied Fashion Design at Hornsey College of Art in London, gaining a B.A.(Hons) degree. Despite being offered a full-time position by the designer Zandra Rhodes, she set herself up as a freelance textile designer, selling her distinctive, exuberant designs all over the world.
For many years she has owned and run, with her husband Chris, the Right Angle Gallery in Brackley, Northamptonshire where all the Fizzogs are on display. They can also be seen and purchased from Val's website, www.valpendleton.com
