A new player in the TLD Australian registration arena, Grandom, is now accepting registrations for the original .newyork Top Level Domain (TLD) on the Inclusive Name Space (INS) in conjunction with The PacificRoot.
The PacificRoot Domain Registry, hosts the Worlds largest DNS root server network on the Internet, and has appointed Grandom as an official PacificRoot Accredited Registrar. The PacificRoot provides registry services for a number of domains.

GRANDOM is headed by Australian Directors Sash Cacoroski and Ray Kommedal.
GRANDOM is a PacificRoot Accredited Registrar of domain names, and licensed by UnitedRoot to provide exclusive registrations services for the Original .newyork TLDs.
Established in March 2001, GRANDOM is currently the only registrar for the orginal.newyork, and a host of other Top Level Domains for the global market.
Registering .newyork with GRANDOM ensures that sites can be readily and universally accessed in the Inclusive Name Space.
Backgrounder
Recognising the potential, and demand, for Internet domain names, GRANDOM became a PacificRoot Accredited Registrar to secure the rights to .newyork world wide in March 2001.
The PacificRoot has been contracted to provide a global registry service of the .newyork TLD and many other Top Level Domains.
The PacificRoot and Grandom have been working together to release and administer domains on the INS.
.newyork is the first of a series 'category specific' domains including .fed, .expo and .uni to be offered by Grandom which is providing a new form of Internet access.
Businesses wishing to register domain names in the .newyork with Grandom can now do so online at ww.grandom.com.
Advance technology that allows users to secondary the INS, and provide access to the entire Internet, can also be downloaded from the Grandom web site or alternatively be a member of an ISP that resolves the INS.
Biographies
Bradley Thornton
Chief Technology Officer
The PacificRoot / Joint Technologies, Ltd.
Bradley Thornton is responsible for managing The PacificRoot rootzone and the PacificRoot Registry which provides registry services for TLD Holders that seek to have their TLDs carried in an Internet Domain Registry other than Verisign's (Network Solutions).
Bradley has been heavily involved in the Internet and ISP industries since the introduction of DNS and TCP/IP on the net.
His involvement in the US Military's ARPAnet came about through the introduction of TCP/IP in January of 1983 and the introduction of the DNS system in 1985.
Bradley has been involved as a professional educator throughout most of his professional life and spent several years as an instructor in Microsoft's MCSE program. He is an MCSE and an MCT with Microsoft.
In his current position, Bradley is recognised as an authority on TLDs.
Bradley is based in the United States.
Sash Cacoroski

Sash Cacoroski founded Grandom in March 2001 with his partner, Ray Kommedal
Sash sits on the Board of Directors as well as the TapRoot committee of the Top Level Domain Association Inc, a trade association of Internet Top-Level Domain, Inc (TLD), holders which represents the interests of TLD Holders. He is also a Director of UNITEDroot, which manages various TLDs.
Sash was nominated for Young Australian Entrepreneur of the Year 2001 by Hazel Thomson, Senior Business Administrator, ERNST & YOUNG, Melbourne
