Top Industry Technologist Joins Pacific Digital Corporation

Irvine, CA -- Pacific Digital Corporation announces Mr. Curtis Stevens as their Director of Software & Firmware Engineering. Mr. Stevens will direct key departments in the Advanced Product Division of Pacific Digital responsible for the development of ground breaking Automatic DMA (ADMA) technology. This technology is embodied in an advanced chip that greatly enhances streaming audio / video (A/V) applications and network throughput.Mr. Stevens formally a Senior Consulting Engineer for Phoenix Technologies was responsible for core BIOS architecture in the areas of 1394, USB, Legacy Free, and advanced hard disk features. Curtis was also responsible for making recommendations to many of the standards committees. He has authored several standards including the standard used to boot PC from CD-ROM & DVD-ROM discs. While filing many important patents at Phoenix Technology, Curtis helped define the standards for PC computing from boot-up to operating system and peripheral compatibility. Curtis joins Pacific Digital to steer software & firmware activities of the Advanced Product Division. “What Pacific Digital has been able to achieve with their new Automatic DMA chip set leads me to believe that any system using multiple, command queuing, IDE hard drives will process information faster and more efficiently at less cost”, says Curtis. “I am convinced that this technology will have a significant impact on the computer industry both in the operation of existing systems and the development of a variety of new applications”.
