Free P&P introduced during UK Royal Mail Postal Strike

Added: (Thu Oct 22 2009)

Commenting David Amose (Operations Director of Joots.co.uk) stated "In response to the current UK Nationwide Royal Mail postal strike, Joots.co.uk has adjusted its P&P charges to reflect the inability of the Royal Mail to guarantee next day delivery. In effect from today until Sunday 25th October 2009, the charge for UK deliveries will be waived. Should any further industrial action take place, Joots.co.uk will reintroduce this policy. Royal Mail has assured Joots.co.uk that once the strike is over, customers will receive their products within 1-2 working days.”

Commenting further David Amose "Joots.co.uk remain committed to using the Royal Mail as a delivery method, and in particular supporting our local post offices whenever we can. However, Joots.co.uk will continue to monitor the situation, in light of the introduction of new product lines in the run up to Christmas by jewellery designers such as Monica Vinader and Babette Wasserman."
