Pen-genie grants a wish for everyone…
GelUK have launched via the web their latest product the Pen-genie that hopes to dispense with the phrase “I wish I could find a pen!” Already it appears to be cause for discussion. The product in question is simply an elasticated band which secures a pen to the users hand to enable trouble-free use of a computer keyboard and mouse whilst constantly having a pen at your fingertips.
Primarily aimed at call centres and telesales personnel Pen-genie could be the answer to their prayers. They will also be targeting the likes of carpenters, builders, even traffic wardens where there is a call for the product to ensure that a pen will no longer ‘walk away’.
It’s inventor, Steven Sugarman from Wales originally created it in line with his vision for the future. He saw that in time the trusty mouse, which we all love to hate, will be replaced by the mouse pen. These have seen a dramatic drop in price over the last few years and in the near future he is sure we will see them being bundled with new computers the world over. When this happens, all will require his product.
His immediate priority is to make sure Pen-genie is also recognised for it’s marketing potential. Companies large and small spend billions each year on corporate advertising. Pen-genie is currently one of the only products to enable a company’s brand or message to be displayed in the line of vision for the majority of the working day. Couple this with its originality and low cost and it becomes most certainly an attractive alternative to many of the products available today.
