Newbury Day Nursery launches new Content Management System (CMS) Website

Added: (Tue Sep 30 2008)

The Apples Day Nursery & Pre-School, Ball Hill, Newbury, launches its updated website this week. The website, developed with parents in mind, particularly working parents with limited time, has been re-launched with a vibrant new look, new content, significant layout updates and features. Commenting on the new website, Simon Marlow from DDA Web Design said, “The Apples’ website is quite unique in the nursery sector in that most nursery websites tend to be of the brochure-ware type, often displaying out-of-date content. With the CMS system, The Apples will be able to keep its content fresh and up-to-date, without relying on external help.”
The site includes a virtual tour of the nursery premises, a pictorial presentation on what a day is like for a child at the nursery (A Day in The Life), and an online facility for requesting an information pack, booking a visit and reserving a holiday activity club place. Commenting on these features, Lisa Elliott, Early Years Manager at the nursery said, “It is our experience that more and more parents are using the internet as the first step in the important task of researching and choosing a nursery for their child. Whilst no parent would choose a nursery without an actual visit to the nursery, these features provide them with a visual taster of what life is like for children at The Apples. ”
To mark the launch of its new website, The Apples is offering a bottle of wine for each visit to the nursery booked via its new online booking facility until December 31st 2008. To visit the new website go to www.theapples.org
