Amylin is a generic name for Symlin. It is an injectable drug which can facilitate you to reduce the sugar (glucose) levels in the blood. In essence, it is a synthetic hormone similar to amylin, which is created by the pancreas to manage blood glucose level. It is primarily beneficial for treating both Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes. It also reflects a noteworthy result to condense appetite, thus acting as a weight loss drug. It received its FDA endorsement in March, 2005 adds to its dependability.

Byetta is a drug derived from the saliva of the Gila monster lizard. I do know one person who is taking Byetta and has better control of her blood sugar levels. The medication has even decreased her appetite. That is a benefit for her since she is overweight.
