Added: (Sun Jul 08 2007)
The Small Town Poker Tour Pro Am Championship will be held July 13, at the South Point Hotel Casino and Spa in Las Vegas. The Tournament is scheduled to begin at 12:00 PM. The event is open to all players from around the world.
Proceeds from the event will benefit Las Vegas-based Charity Corps of Compassion. The Corp of Compassion's mission is to provide food for homeless children. There are over 4000 homeless and at risk children in Las Vegas. Every weekend the Corp fills over 700 backpacks with food to provide children with much needed meals.
"When I found out about the work the Corps of Compassion was doing it only made sense to choose them as our charity for this event," stated Mark Fracalossi, STPT Executive Producer. "Children are our future and to help the most at-risk children in our society with basic needs, what else can I say the Corps is amazing," Fracalossi added.
The tournament will be held at the South Point Hotel, Casino & Spa Poker Room. "The entire staff at the South Point has been very supportive and helpful in bringing this event together, and not to mention the facility is first class and immense," Fracalossi added.
The tournament has a $200 plus $60 Buy-In, plus $100 Re-buys and the seats are very limited.
