The WBX.COM Fighting Fifth Hurdle is a little over two weeks away and ahead of the big day Tony Stafford, racing manager to Punjabi’s owner Raymond Tooth, has shared his latest thoughts on www.wbxtriplecrown.com following the recent announcement of the entries for the Grade 1 feature.
The WBX Hurdling Triple Crown dedicated website contains a wealth of information and includes exclusive content from the likes of Tony Stafford as Punjabi attempts to repeat his 2008 victory in the WBX.COM Fighting Fifth Hurdle.
In his latest blog Tony informs readers that “…I saw Nicky at Sandown on Saturday and he told me with a great smile that Punjabi “had his second go up the grass”, that surface happily re-habilitated after a summer version of last winter’s great snow white-out.
“He went up with My Petra (runs in the Paddy Power Gold Cup) and while he gave a big blow afterwards, he went very well. There’s plenty of time to get him ready”.
